How to Save UltiMaker S Series Log Files to USB
If you're experiencing issues with your UltiMaker S series printer, follow these steps to export log files and share them with support:
- Prepare a USB Drive:
Before exporting, check the contents of your USB drive. If it already contains old log files, delete them to avoid confusion. Then insert the USB stick into the USB port on your UltiMaker S series printer. - Open the Options Menu:
On the printer's touchscreen, tap the Options (gear) icon. - Navigate to the Diagnostics Section:
In the settings menu, select Maintenance, then tap Diagnostics.

- Export Logs to USB:
Tap on Save log files to USB. The printer will start copying the log files to your USB drive.

- Wait for the Export to Complete:
A progress bar will appear. Do not remove the USB drive until the export has fully completed.
Exporting the logs may take a few minutes. Removing the USB drive too early may result in incomplete files.
- Remove the USB Drive:
Once the export is complete, remove the USB drive from the printer. - Access Log Files on Your Computer:
Plug the USB drive into your computer. You should find the log files in a folder named Logs or similar. - Send Logs to Support:
Attach the exported log files to your support ticket or send them via email to the support team for further assistance.

The exact menu names and steps may vary slightly depending on your printer's firmware version. Refer to your user manual or contact support if you notice any differences.
