How to Update Firmware on Stratasys F-Series Printers Using GrabCAD Print
Keeping your Stratasys F-Series printer's firmware up to date ensures optimal performance and access to the latest features. Follow the steps below to update your printer's firmware using GrabCAD Print.
Prerequisites
- Ensure your printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
- Install the latest version of GrabCAD Print from https://print.grabcad.com.
- Close any active print jobs and allow the printer to idle before updating firmware.
Steps to Update Firmware
- Launch GrabCAD Print on your computer and sign in to your GrabCAD account.
- Select Your Printer: In the bottom right corner, click on your connected Stratasys F-Series printer.
- Access Settings: Click on the “Settings” option for your selected printer.
- Check for Updates: If a firmware update is available, an orange banner will appear indicating that an update is ready.
- Initiate Update: Click on the orange banner to begin the update process.
- Prepare Printer: On the printer's touchscreen, navigate to Maintenance > Update Software. The printer will display a message indicating it's waiting for the upgrade file.
- Complete Update: GrabCAD Print will send the firmware update to the printer. The printer will display messages such as "Verifying" and then "Updating." This process may take up to 15 minutes.
- Restart Automatically: Once the firmware update is complete, the printer will automatically restart.

- If the firmware update fails or stalls, ensure stable network connectivity during the update.
- Restart both the printer and your computer, then try again.
