Stratasys F123 Series – Pre-Install Checklist


Before installation of your F123 Series 3D printer (F170, F190CR, F370, F370CR), please verify that all required utilities and environmental conditions are in place. The checklist below outlines power, workstation, networking, and site preparation requirements.

✅ Power Requirements

  • ✔️ Voltage: 100–132 VAC, 50/60 Hz
  • ✔️ Dedicated 15A grounded outlet
  • ✔️ Outlet must be within 6 ft (1.83 m) of the printer
  • ✔️ Do not use extension cords or power strips—connect directly to a wall outlet or UPS

✅ Workstation & Software Requirements

  • ✔️ A computer with GrabCAD Print software installed (view system requirements)
  • ✔️ Insight software (optional, required for advanced slicing on F370/F370CR)
  • ✔️ Administrative access is required to install the software
  • ✔️ Coordinate with your school's IT department to ensure proper permissions and availability during setup

✅ Network Requirements

  • ✔️ Wired LAN: 100 base T, RJ45 connector within 15 ft (4.57 m)
  • ✔️ Supports DHCP or Static IP configurations
  • ✔️ Wi-Fi can also be used if preferred
  • ✔️ Coordinate with IT for any firewall, proxy, or port access needs

✅ Wash Station Location (Optional)

  • ✔️ Locate wash station near a cold water supply and drain connection
  • ✔️ Floor and surrounding area should be water-resistant and non-slip
  • ✔️ Ensure adequate ventilation and compliance with local plumbing regulations

✅ Other Site Considerations

  • ✔️ Printer weight: 500 lbs (227 kg)
  • ✔️ Space requirements (uncrated): 34" W x 28" D x 64" H
  • ✔️ Minimum clearances:
    • Rear: 6 inches (15.24 cm)
    • Sides: 4 inches (10.16 cm)
    • Front & Overhead: 20 inches (50.8 cm)
  • ✔️ Ambient operating temperature: 59–86°F (15–30°C)
  • ✔️ Relative humidity: 30–70% (non-condensing)
  • ✔️ Indoor use only—avoid locations with airborne oils, fine particles, or EMI sources
  • ✔️ Floor must support weight and allow stable, level positioning
