Forest CNC - Router Safety Training
- E-stop Button Safety:
- Hold the e-stop button outside the work area to activate the e-stop state.
- Push the button in and twist it to release it from the e-stop state; don't pull to avoid damage.
- Differentiate between the e-stop button on the front (power off/on) and the one inside (e-stop only).
- Machine Structure Safety:
- Red stops on all four corners prevent machine damage.
- Avoid resting on or touching pinch points to prevent accidents.
- Leaning on the machine can lead to severe injuries; avoid using it as a table or support.
- Maintenance Safety:
- Never touch the machine's metal components to prevent rust and maintain safety.
- Always power off the machine before making adjustments or maintenance.
- Never insert hands into the machine while it's powered on to avoid severe injuries.
- Responsibility:
- Emphasize personal responsibility for safety; injuries are the individual's responsibility, not the fault of the school or instructor.
