Forest CNC - Router Maintenace Training
1. Cleaning:
- Regularly clean the machine to ensure its optimal performance.
- Wipe down the rails and surfaces to prevent dirt buildup.
- Pay attention to the filter assembly in the control system, cleaning it when necessary.
- If the filter appears dirty, gently pat it to remove dust. If heavily impacted, remove and clean it thoroughly before reattaching.
2. Greasing:
- Identify grease fittings located at specific points, usually in sets of two, four, six, eight, and ten.
- Each grease fitting requires lubrication once a month or every 40 hours of machine usage.
- Utilize Shell Albania RL2 grease exclusively for these bearings to prevent issues.
- Mixing different grease types can lead to bearing failure due to the formation of epoxy-like substances.
- Failure to grease or using incorrect grease voids warranty coverage.
- Proper greasing ensures smooth machine operation and extends its lifespan.
3. Greasing Procedure:
- Employ the provided grease gun equipped with a special tip for effective lubrication.
- When greasing, firmly attach the grease gun to the fitting and pump grease as needed.
- Avoid using alternative grease guns or fittings to prevent damage to the machine components.
- The special fitting ensures proper application and minimizes the risk of damage to expensive bearings.
- Replacement fittings are available from local bearing suppliers or can be purchased from the manufacturer for a nominal fee.
By following these maintenance guidelines, users can ensure optimal performance and longevity of the machine while minimizing the risk of costly repairs or replacements.
