Roland BN2-20 - Pre-Install Checklist

Before scheduling installation or training for your Roland BN2-20 desktop printer/cutter, please ensure all required utilities, RIP station setup, and workspace conditions are met.
✅ Power Requirements
- ✔️ Voltage: 120V AC
- ✔️ Requires a standard grounded outlet (no special circuit needed)
- ✔️ Do not use extension cords or power strips
✅ RIP Station & Software Requirements
- ✔️ Windows 10 or newer (64-bit) PC or Mac OS 13 or newer required for RIP station: Roland VersaWorks 7 Specifications
- ✔️ Register and install DG Connect for printer software access: DG Connect Registration Page
- ✔️ Roland VersaWorks 7 RIP software must be installed
- ✔️ Administrative access required for all installations
- ✔️ Coordinate with your IT department to allow proper installation and networking access
✅ Network Connection
- ✔️ Ethernet connection is required – Wi-Fi and USB are not supported
- ✔️ Ensure a nearby active network drop or switch port is available
- ✔️ Printer supports DHCP or Static IP address assignment
- ✔️ IT support must be available to assist with firewall permissions and IP configuration
- ✔️ Machine Dimensions (W x D x H): 39.6" × 22.2" × 15.0"
- ✔️ Minimum tabletop space: 48" W × 30" D
- ✔️ Allow 12" clearance in front and back for media feeding and access
- ✔️ Requires a sturdy, level table that can support 85 lbs
- ✔️ BN2-20 uses Roland DG Eco-Sol MAX 2 Ink (CMYK)
- ✔️ Inks should be stored at 60–80°F and loaded at room temperature
- ✔️ Prepare at least one roll of 20" media for setup and testing
✅ Environmental Conditions
- ✔️ Temperature: 64–90°F (18–32°C)
- ✔️ Humidity: 35–80% RH (non-condensing)
- ✔️ Avoid dust, direct sunlight, and areas with EMI (electromagnetic interference)
